East Suffolk Council has warned that repeated offences and damage could result in areas being shut to the public. "Unfortunately, damage to play equipment means that families are unable to enjoy play areas, with damaged equipment and areas closed off to protect other park users," a spokesman for the council said. Vandals are targeting play areas in the Lowestoft area (Image: East Suffolk Council)"We are disappointed to see that a number of play areas are being repeatedly vandalised in East Suffolk and reports of anti-social behaviour are coming to us." A bin was also set alight at Carlton Meadow Park in Carlton Colville, while a bike spring was snapped off. Further damage has been reported at Pine Close in Rendlesham and Walton, including a cut trampoline membrane and fire damage to a multi-play unit.
