SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department has nominated five officers as Central Public Information Officers (CPIOs) to deal with applications filed under the Right to Information Act, 2005. 297-JK (Edu) of 2026, issued on July 28, in pursuance of Section 5(1) of the RTI Act. Braham Raj, JKAS, Deputy Secretary to the Government, has been designated as CPIO for the E-III section, while Deputy Director (Planning) Mohd Ismail has been assigned the Planning section. Deepika Sharma, JKAS, Under Secretary to the Government, has been assigned E-II and Accounts. The nominated officers will be responsible for disposing of RTI applications relating to their respective sections under the provisions of the RTI Act, the order said.
