Michigan State University's mascot Sparty will make a special appearance during Downtown Traverse City's Friday Night Live. WHEN: Friday, Aug. 7 at Friday Night Live, sometime between 6pm and 9pm. The annual Downtown Street Sale will be held simultaneously, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Aug. 7. With thousands of Michigan State alumni and fans throughout northern Michigan, Sparty's appearance is expected to be a highlight of the evening.
