This week’s KCII Area Athletes of the Week are Highland Huskies summer sports stars Maiya Singbeil and Garrett Beeson. Singbeil was named Second-Team All-Southeast Iowa Superconference softball on the infield. Singbeil hit .282 this year with a .338OBP, .394 slug and .732OPS with 20 hits, 16RBI, 14 runs scored and five walks. The junior hit .299 with a .472OBP, .373slug and .845OPS with 20 hits, 19 walks, third most in conference, 16RBI and four runs scored. Congratulations Maiya and Garrett!
