The restaurant was known for its lavish decor, private parking and outdoor patio, as well as regular celebrity visitors and wedding bookings. Under its new name, the two-floor venue is being marketed as a luxury, fine-dining Turkish restaurant offering "bold flavours and elegant nights" in a high-end setting. Work to transform the building has been underway throughout the year, with the new operators carrying out extensive renovations ahead of opening. Bookings for Mezra’s grand opening and future dates are already being taken online, with the launch Saturday reported to have sold out.
