A senior British defense delegation highlighted expanding U.K.-Morocco cooperation in defense and healthcare during a series of meetings in the Kingdom, describing regional stability as a shared priority for both countries. “Regional stability is a shared priority for the U.K. and Morocco,” the British Embassy in Morocco said in a post on X. During the visit, Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren, the U.K.’s Defense Senior Advisor for the Middle East and North Africa, met with Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of the Administration of National Defense Abdellatif Loudyi. The delegation also visited the Mohammed VI Foundation for Sciences and Health’s Rabat campus and Innovation Center, as well as the Cheikh Zaid Foundation, where discussions focused on opportunities to strengthen cooperation in medical education, healthcare delivery, and digital health. The visit concluded with a meeting at the biopharma company GSK Morocco, where participants reviewed the pharmaceutical company’s existing partnership with the Mohammed VI Foundation for Sciences and Health to strengthen Morocco’s healthcare capacity, particularly in preventive medicine, according to the embassy.
