Adam Taylor, who was originally from Huddersfield but was living in the Cumbrian town at the time, died at the age of 31. His death was ruled as 'accidental' at a hearing of His Majesty's Coroner's Service in Cumbria. His aunt Rebecca Hall said: "Adam had a troubled life and childhood, and he got through life as well as he could. "She wanted to check that he was okay and went inside the property and called for him but got no answer. Dr Nicholas Shaw, Assistant Coroner for Cumbria, ruled that it was a drug-related death.
