SANDERSVILLE, Ga. — A month-long investigation by local and state authorities targeting the sale of illegal drugs in Washington County led to eight arrests on Friday.
The investigation involved the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Gang Task Force, the GBI Middle Georgia Regional Drug Task Force, the Georgia Department of Community Supervision and the Georgia State Patrol.
The probe centered on suspects distributing illegal drugs to others throughout the East Central Georgia county.
The eight suspects arrested Friday were taken to the Washington County Law Enforcement Center in Sandersville, where they were jailed.
