During its monthly meeting on this week, the Northeastern Local (Tinora) Schools Board of Education approved wage increases and proceeded with placing a renewal levy on the November ballot. A fresh resolution of urgency pertaining to a 10-year, 9.9-mill renewal levy for current expenses was approved by the board. After the county auditor’s office certifies the proposed levy, which was first passed in 1996 and renewed in 2006 and 2016, a special board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 7 a.m. to finalize its placement on the November 3 ballot.
