Week of tragedy on Clare roads with two fatalities

Two men have died in separate road traffic collisions on Clare roads since Sunday evening.
He was declared dead at the scene, and his remains were removed to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem examination.
Sergeant Andrew O’Riordan was the passenger in a car involved in a single-vehicle collision on the R466 at Gortnaglogh, Broadford on Sunday evening, July 26.
Originally from Blarney, County Cork, Sgt O’Riordan had been stationed at Limerick’s Mayorstone Garda Station for almost 20 years, and lived in Broadford with his wife Stéphanie and their five children.
