Guelph man arrested for impaired driving near south-end

The Guelph Police Service have charged a Guelph man with impaired driving after being caught during a traffic stop on Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 3:20 p.m., police received a report of a potentially impaired man who was attempting to purchase alcohol at a business in Guelph’s south-end.
Upon stopping the suspect, officers noticed an odour of alcohol on the driver’s breath.
After failing a roadside breathalyzer, the suspect was arrested and taken to a Guelph police station.
The 43-year-old Guelph man has now been charged with impaired driving.
