<a href='https://ads.independent.com.mt/www/delivery/ck.php?n=afef72b0&cb=112' target='_blank'><img data-src='https://ads.independent.com.mt/www/delivery/avw.php?zoneid=22&cb=112&n=afef72b0' border='0' alt='' /></a>The Government has established an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Governance Council to oversee the coordinated and responsible adoption of AI across the Public Administration. The council will be chaired by the Government's Chief AI Officer and will be supported by the Artificial Intelligence Governance Unit. It will provide central strategic oversight of AI initiatives across Government, bringing together key stakeholders to promote a unified approach to AI governance. According to the Office of the Principal Permanent Secretary, the establishment of the council reflects Government's commitment to harnessing the benefits of artificial intelligence while maintaining appropriate governance and oversight.
