Three in four SMEs uncertain or unwilling to invest in coming months - PN; government rejects claim
[]
The Malta Independent
While more than half of SMEs, 56%, remain uncertain, 22% said they are not prepared to invest over the next 12 months.
This means that three in four SMEs in Malta and Gozo do not foresee positive prospects in the coming months.
While 64% believe Malta is not heading in the right direction, only 36% believe the country is doing well.
As part of the survey, SMEs were also asked to identify the most urgent issues the Government should address.
The government was replying to a PN statement expressing concern that 78% of SMEs were either uncertain about investing or believed it would be unwise to invest over the coming year.
