Rather, important studies later showed that early exposure to common allergens, like eggs and peanuts, greatly lowers the incidence of food allergies. A pediatric allergologist evaluated 430 children from the Swedish NICE birth cohort for food allergies, atopic eczema, and allergic asthma at age six.
