A new study published in the Journal of American Medical Association showed that tamsulosin showed little to no effect in around one-third of older men with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), indicating that they would be good candidates for deprescribing. The most popular medication for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)-related lower urinary tract symptoms is tamsulosin.
