The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will feature free school supplies, about 2,000 backpacks, school uniform shirts and community resources while supplies last. Sims said the Back to School Bash is about more than school supplies. “We just need parents to know that we’re in their corner.” The Back to School Bash will be held at Macon Mall, 3661 Eisenhower Parkway.
