The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation arrested Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Officer Seth Elliott on Wednesday. CMPD doesn't own or run any Flock cameras, but the department has a memorandum of understanding with Flock. Flock Safety runs license-plate reading surveillance cameras that law enforcement agencies use to pull vehicle data and investigative leads. Two police officers in Greer, South Carolina, lost their jobs on June 26 after breaking the city's Flock camera policy. The Greenville County Sheriff's Department also fired two officers this summer for the same reason — misusing Flock cameras.
