The management of the University of Jos has suspended lectures and summoned students to an emergency meeting over rising security concerns and recent incidents within and around the institution. The management said academic activities would remain suspended during the period to ensure full participation in the meeting. The development comes amid heightened security concerns within the university community. According to the Vice-Chancellor, the meeting became necessary in view of recent developments. Professor Ishaya said the meeting would focus on general security concerns within the university community, recent unhealthy activities involving students, and measures to safeguard the well-being of all members of the institution.
