RYAN CARR believes Castleford Tigers players will be better for the ‘hard lessons’ they are learning so far during the 2026 Super League season. The Tigers have suffered damning defeats at the hands of Wakefield Trinity (48-6, 52-14), Warrington Wolves (72-6) and Hull KR (50-6), winning just seven of their 20 league games. Carr, whose job at The Jungle coincides with his first as a head coach in Super League, has been taken aback by the amount of signings and people he has had to let go this season. There are some people learning hard lessons that will be better for it. “A lot of people will come out the other side better players and better people for it.”
