It’s started to develop a hint of a cult following in the two decades and change since, though, but Williams wasn’t best pleased that nobody was as interested at the time. “It’s a really dark, nasty movie, not for kids,” is how he put it, which is about right. But I loved that movie, just because it’s nasty fun, but I think that’s what hit people. I remember people going, ‘Why do you have to do a really dark comedy?
