On Thursday in rural Georgia, MAGA-oriented Representative and Senate candidate Mike Collins (R-GA) ended a press conference “ abruptly ” when questioned about his son-in-law’s antisemitic social media posts. Not only did he end the event out of nowhere, but he attempted to shift the focus onto his midterm opponent, Georgia’s Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff. “But Jon Ossoff refuses to disavow these Democrat socialist movements in our country.” Scheer, who is married to Collins’ daughter, Summer, is featured in family photographs on Collins’ campaign website and social media. CNN went on to detail further ties between Collins and Scheer, as well as an array of other far-right figures.
