McDonald's has applied for permission to extend the opening hours for its proposed new outlet in Letterkenny. The initial application was passed by Donegal County Council, but an objection was lodged with the planning appeals board. One of those conditions included the limiting of opening hours to 8am –11pm. The original application shows that the existing McDonald’s restaurant off the Pearse Road will continue to operate as normal.
