A major road in Buncrana is to be closed for a period up to two weeks from Monday for resurfacing works. Donegal County Council confirmed that St Mary's Road is to be closed from St. Oran's Road junction to the Upper Main Street junction from Monday, 3rd August until 14th August, with working hours between 7am and 5pm. St Mary's Road is one of the main arteries through Buncrana, connecting to the Main Street and on to Cockhill road, which then travels on into North Inishowen. The Westbound diversion will be via R238-9 St. Orans Road, L1086-0 Aileach Road, L1096-0Cahir O'Doherty Avenue, and L1106-0 Castle Avenue.
