MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Two Marshfield Utilities electric department employees traveled to Menasha on Wednesday to assist with power restoration efforts following severe storms and tornados that caused widespread damage and outages across the area. The assistance is being coordinated through the Municipal Electric Utilities of Wisconsin (MEUW) Mutual Aid Program, which enables public power utilities across the state to share personnel, equipment and resources when emergencies occur. “When a fellow public power community calls for assistance, we answer,” said Nicolas Kumm, general manager of Marshfield Utilities. “We are proud to send two of our linemen and a utility truck to Menasha to support restoration efforts, demonstrating the commitment public power utilities have to helping one another in times of need.” Marshfield Utilities officials said they are proud of Adam and Levi for representing the utility during the restoration effort and extended their appreciation to all crews working to restore power in Menasha.
