MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Visit Marshfield has purchased the former Market on Sixth building at 113 W 6th Street as it works to establish a permanent visitor center in the city. Executive Director Matt McLean announced the purchase during Tuesday’s Marshfield Common Council meeting. He said the goal is to create a welcoming visitor center that highlights Marshfield attractions while also serving local residents. The building is located near City Hall and formerly housed Market on Sixth. The announcement comes during a busy tourism season that has included Hub City Days, Farm Technology Days, major dog shows and the American Legion AAA State Baseball Tournament.
