A Bonham man has been sentenced to 10-years in prison for Sexual Assault of a Child. The case began when Bonham Police responded to a report of an assault on the 19th of March 2026. Lead investigator, Detective Jon McCann obtained multiple search warrants for social media and biological evidence, which culminated in his interview of the Brown. Faced with the evidence, Brown altered his story and admitted to both messaging the victim on multiple occasions, as well as having sexual contact with the minor. “It takes a team of people to help ensure justice for child victims”, said First Assistant District Attorney Nathan Young.
