Two people have been targeted by fraudsters in recent incidents in the area, both while withdrawing cash. On July 22, a man took out £1,500 from Barclays in the city centre before being preoccupied by another man as he helped his partner into their car on Adelaide Street. The suspect is described as white, aged between 40 and 50, with a round face, thin hair, an Eastern European accent, and wearing grey clothing, possibly a tracksuit. A woman aged in her 50s was also in the bank near the couple at the time. A spokesperson for Herts police added: "Please be aware of people around you and keep an eye out for elderly or vulnerable residents."
