The project was completed only 2.5 years after Fuhua and Evonik signed the licensing agreement in November 2023. In addition to its proprietary H₂O₂ technology, Evonik supplied key process equipment, catalysts, and working solution for the facility. “This startup represents an important milestone for Fuhua and validates the excellent collaboration between our companies,” said Fuhua Chairman Zhang Hua. The new facility will supply industrial-grade hydrogen peroxide to customers in the merchant market while also supporting the recently established Evonik Fuhua New Materials joint venture. There, hydrogen peroxide from the Leshan plant will be further purified into specialty grades used in demanding applications such as electronics manufacturing and food safety.
