As witnesses saw smoke rising from the fields, Herts Fire and Rescue Service were called to Loudwater Lane, between Loudwater and Croxley Green, at 4.34pm yesterday (July 29). Eight fire engines and specialist support units arrived to find the barns and land well alight.
