The Watford Observer has reported on five major incidents which required significant responses this month, but the service has received more than 1,000 emergency calls since the start of March.

The fire seen from Watford (Image: Contribution)Massive pillars of smoke could be seen over Cassiobury Park during a blaze across two fields and an area of woodland off Little Green Lane, Croxley Green, on Saturday, July 18.

Smoke could be seen from across the Watford and Bushey areas as surrounding properties were evacuated from around midday.
