WILLISTON, N.D. — For the second time in as many meetings, the Valley City Post 60 Royals broke the hearts of the Kindred Post 117 Vikings with a late rally. Bryson Heck followed with a sacrifice fly to put Valley City back in front. Valley City mounted a threat in the sixth, loading the bases on two walks and a single. A bobble by Kindred right fielder Knight, however, allowed the winning run to score and sent the Valley City dugout into celebration. The Valley City Royals will face the winner of the Minot Metros-Casselton Haymakers matchup at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
