Panera Bread is moving its headquarters from the St. Louis area to Massachusetts next summer. The Boston Globe obtained an internal memo sent by CEO Paul Carbone to employees on Monday, July 27, noting that Panera will move to an undisclosed location in Weston, Massachusetts. In the memo, Carbone said the relocation would “allow us to fully align our teams” around Panera's business revitalization plan. Earlier this year, Panera closed a fresh dough facility it operated in Franklin, resulting in the loss of 92 jobs. However, many of its employees, including remote teams, will eventually be transferred to the Weston office, according to the memo.
