A woman wearing a “listening device” has been fatally struck by a train. The incident happened on Monday afternoon on Hwy 25 in Emlyn in Whitley County when a pedestrian, 41-year-old Loretta E. West, of Williamsburg, was struck by a CSX train, the Whitley County Coroner’s Office told multiple news outlets. She was transported to Baptist Health Corbin where she was pronounced deceased.
