The initiative envisages enhancing sanitation blocks at the toll plaza through an Innovative Performance Based Contracts framework, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, functionality and long-term maintenance. The enhanced sanitation facilities will provide clean, safe and accessible public amenities while ensuring uniform quality standards across the National Highway network. NHAI has adopted a technology-driven maintenance framework under which the facilities will be operated and maintained in order to ensure sustained service quality. By creating modern sanitation facilities backed by digital monitoring and outcome-based maintenance, NHAI aims to significantly enhance the travel experience while setting new benchmarks for public amenities on the National Highway network.
