Excise constable caught on camera allegedly demanding bribe at Kamareddy checkpostAn Excise constable in Kamareddy district allegedly faced a bribe allegation after a truck driver’s video claiming a Rs 200 demand at a checkpost went viral. The Prohibition and Excise department ordered an inquiry and recommended suspension of the constable. The truck, driven by a Rajasthan native, was passing through the Salabathpur checkpost on Wednesday when Excise constable Sudhakar Reddy allegedly stopped it and demanded money in the guise of excise charges. In the video, the truck driver alleged that the constable demanded Rs.200 to allow the vehicle to pass through the checkpost. After the video went viral, Kamareddy Prohibition and Excise Superintendent Mukunda Reddy ordered an inquiry into the incident.
