Stalin accuses TVK govt of blocking DK’s anti-NEET campaignDMK president M K Stalin criticised the TVK government for denying permission to the Dravidar Kazhagam's anti-NEET and EWS quota campaign, alleging collusion with the BJP. “Claiming Periyar (EV Ramasamy) as its ideological leader, why has the TVK government deployed police forces right inside Periyar Thidal (Periyar grounds, the DK headquarters in Chennai)?” The DK said though its anti-NEET and EWS quota two-wheeler campaign (from July 30 to August 2, 2026) could be conducted by violating the ban, it would like to legally deal the issue. “Comrades be calm,” DK President K Veeramani urged in a statement and announced postponement of the campaign. The campaign, now deferred, urging the Centre to scrap NEET and EWS quota is an initiative of the DK’s youth, student and women’s wings.
