Governor Kay Ivey has declared Saturday, August 1, 2026, as Will Roberts Day, honoring the son of Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Bureau of Investigation Captain Jason Roberts and his wife, Brittney.
“Alabama is remembering Will as a brave young man whose courage inspired us all,” Ivey said.
I am proud to honor his life well-lived by officially proclaiming Will Roberts Day in the state of Alabama.
“His bravery united thousands of strangers in prayer, encouragement and community,” Ivey wrote in the proclamation.
“Will represents the countless other childhood patients who have fought and continue to fight against cancer,” Ivey wrote.
