The Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) and the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) have formally established a strategic alliance to accelerate digital transformation and bolster economic participation across the country. The pact establishes an operational framework to bridge the gap between national regulatory standards and private sector digital readiness. Key areas of cooperation include: Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), cybersecurity, digital transformation, e-trade facilitation, regulatory standards, legislative reform, digital literacy, and capacity building. CRAN Chief Executive, Emilia Nghikembua, emphasised the significance of this partnership, stating that, “This MoU marks a pivotal step towards building a resilient and secure digital environment in Namibia. By working together, CRAN and NCCI aim to empower businesses and citizens with the skills, trust, and infrastructure needed to thrive in the digital age.”
