Square Enix’s Naoki Hamaguchi has addressed the big physical media question when it comes to Final Fantasy VII Revelation. But I am working to make the arrangements to allow us to have some kind of physical edition. Hamaguchi also shared his personal sentiments about physical games:I do feel, as a developer and as a fan, that the general trend is for things to shift away from physical towards downloadable games. I think it’s a wonderful culture and it would be a shame to lose that. Other Japanese developers have chimed in on Sony’s decision to stop making physical games, using more colorful language to boot.
