Separate conditions attached to the planning permission also deal with acoustic barriers close to the railway and protection for properties near Westhoughton Golf Club. The inspector acknowledged that the developments conflicted with local planning policies intended to protect open land around Westhoughton. Bolton Council will now consider whether the latest boundary details meet the conditions attached to the planning permission.
