Wat Srirattanaram Monastery in Kearsley, hosted celebrations for Asalha Puja Day and the annual Buddhist Lent Candle Offering ceremony.
The event marked the beginning of Buddhist Lent, a three-month period of spiritual reflection observed by Theravada Buddhists during the rainy season.

The spokesperson added: "The candle procession is a respectful way of bringing the Buddhist Lent candles to the monks.
