Evelyn Whitney, from Horwich, has been appointed as the new District Chairman of Inner Wheel District 128, covering Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Wigan, Merseyside and the Isle of Man. Ms Whitney said: "I am both honoured and delighted to have been elected as District Chairman of Inner Wheel District 128. She is also looking forward to the International Inner Wheel Convention, which will be held in Manila in May 2027. As District Chairman, she will represent the district at numerous events throughout the year, championing the core values of Inner Wheel.
