Production crews will return to the coast on Thursday, July 30, with a number of road closures in place while scenes are filmed. According to Morecambe BID, Marine Road West, Heysham Road, and Sandylands will be closed to through traffic between 11 am and 2:30 pm. The latest filming comes just weeks after parts of Morecambe Promenade were temporarily closed for production work on the hit ITV drama, which is set and filmed in the town. In May, road closures affected sections of Marine Road East and several nearby side streets as cast and crew filmed scenes for the new series. Series six of The Bay is currently in production and is expected to air on ITV at a later date.
