Dark Star Orchestra will perform a Rex Foundation benefit show on Nov. 21 at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., according to Jam Base. The Rex Foundation, according to their official website, is a nonprofit that was started in 1983 by members of the Grateful Dead. Which concert Dark Star Orchestra will recreate won't be announced ahead of time. Reckoning captured the Grateful Dead during a rare period in 1980 when they opened shows with an acoustic set before moving into two electric sets. Dark Star Orchestra has spent nearly 30 years carrying forward the Grateful Dead live concert experience.
