Station Casinos is testing a new way for players to fund their games without carrying cash, launching a pilot program that lets guests pay directly at slot and video poker machines using Apple Pay. The system, called TrustedTap, was developed by payments company Adostics and is being trialed at Durango Casino bars, all Seventy Six taverns, and Wildfire Anthem. It works alongside current bill validators, ticket-in, ticket-out systems, and casino accounting infrastructure at Durango Casino & Resort and other Station-owned properties. Transactions rely on Apple Pay's tokenization and biometric authentication, so card numbers are never transmitted to or stored by the slot machine or the casino. Any unused balance or winnings are still issued as a standard TITO ticket, keeping the system compatible with traditional cash-out methods.
