SCOTRAIL has issued an apology after the rollout of its new application was hit with technical problems, with customers describing being unable to buy tickets among other issues.
While the operator had originally stated that old app could no longer be used to buy tickets, the company has since reversed its policy following the technical difficulties.

David Ross, ScotRail chief operating officer, said: “We launched the new ScotRail app and website booking system today – with thousands of people downloading it first thing this morning and successfully buying tickets to travel with us.
“Unfortunately, we are experiencing some intermittent technical difficulties with the app – with customers having problems while attempting to purchase tickets.
