The Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery at a legal marijuana growing operation in Belgrade after authorities say three men tied up a couple and stole marijuana and cash. Deputies were called to a property on Bartlett Road following a report of an armed robbery at the growing facility. Despite being held at gunpoint and restrained for several hours, deputies say neither victim was physically injured during the robbery. The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the marijuana growing operation was legal and properly licensed through the State of Maine. The Maine Office of Marijuana Policy has been notified about the incident.
