The Irish Government has announced a major investment of €2 billion in National Development Plan (NDP) funding for Uisce Éireann to strengthen water infrastructure and accelerate housing delivery across the country. Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage James Browne welcomed the funding, highlighting the importance of reliable water and wastewater services in enabling housing projects to move forward. The funding forms part of Ireland’s wider National Development Plan strategy, which focuses on expanding housing supply through significant investment in housing, utilities, and essential public infrastructure. Minister Browne said that strengthening infrastructure is essential to increasing the pace of housing delivery.
