The wildfire burning out-of-control just west of Logan Lake has slowed down in activity thanks to a quick response, with Highway 97C now reopen in both directions. on July 29, Logan Lake Fire & Rescue was swiftly on-scene before being joined by BC Wildfire Service with the support of an aerial attack. “So that was a day,” said Logan Lake Fire & Rescue in a social media update. “The fire is still very active and Logan Lake Fire/Rescue (had) a team all night watching as well as BC wildland crews.” Evacuation alerts remain in place for 49 addresses in the acreages area of Logan Lake, as well as addresses along Tunkwa Lake Road.
