Jones came to the city in the late 1970s as a film student at NYU, and his world was a bit further uptown. Jones speaks of the SoHo of those days with the same kind of love that he clearly poured into Late Fame itself. It’s just that he created a great, great situation. And I think Samy made something more human out of it. I wonder, have you seen that, in your years in the New York art scene, affect the art that has come out of this city?
